Superstar Racing Experience at Slinger Speedway odds, picks: SRX Series predictions from proven model

24 Nov 2021 | 08:44

Tony Stewart’s Superstar Racing Experience has already produced some incredible finishes on some of America’s most unheralded tracks. Now the Camping World SRX Series will descend upon Slinger Speedway in Slinger, Wis., on Saturday for some of the fastest quarter-mile racing you’ll ever see. Slinger bills itself as the “World’s Fastest Quarter Mile Oval” thanks to a 9.908-second lap by Jeff Bloom back in 2010 and racing legends have commonly made the pilgrimage to test their speed on the steeply-banked asphalt oval.

One of Stewart’s all-time greatest rivals, Matt Kenseth, has won the Slinger Nationals on eight occasions, and Stewart would love to grab a signature win of his own at Kenseth’s stomping grounds. Kenseth won’t be in the field so Stewart is the 3-2 favorite in the SRX Series at Slinger odds from SportsLine with other contenders including Greg Biffle (5-2), Ernie Francis Jr. (3-1) and Bobby Labonte (4-1). The green flag for SRX Series at Slinger will drop at 8 p.m. ET and will air live on CBS. It can also be streamed on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

Before searching the Camping World SRX Series at Slinger starting lineup and making any Superstar Racing Experience predictions, be sure to see the latest SRX Slinger picks from SportsLine’s proven projection model.

Developed by daily Fantasy pro and SportsLine predictive data engineer Mike McClure, this proprietary prediction model simulates every race 10,000 times, taking into account factors such as track history and recent results.

In the 2021 season, McClure nailed Martin Truex Jr. to win at Martinsville for a strong 3-1 payout. The model also nailed Kyle Larson winning the NASCAR All-Star Race at 5-2 and hit Larson again at the Ally 400 for another 5-2 payout. Then last week it struck once more, nailing Chase Elliott to win at Road America for another 5-2 return. Anyone who has followed its lead on those plays has seen huge returns.

The model also called Stewart winning at Knoxville and then called him winning again the following week at Eldora. Now it has dialed in on the SRX Slinger Showdown and released its projections. Head to SportsLine to see the complete projected SRX Series at Slinger leaderboard.

Top Camping World SRX Series at Slinger Speedway predictions
One surprise: the model is high on Labonte, who is going off at 4-1 in the latest SRX Series at Slinger odds 2021. He’s a target for anyone looking for a solid payday. The 57-year-old was a NASCAR Cup Series champion in 2000 and he was a 21-time Cup winner during an impressive Cup career that spanned 25 seasons.

Labonte has two second-place heat finishes already this season and is coming off his best feature run of the season, finishing second behind Ernie Francis Jr. last week at Lucas Oil Raceway. Labonte is still competitive despite his age and a win at Slinger is certainly within the realm of possibility despite the fact that he’s tied for fourth favorite in a field of 12 for Saturday.

And a massive shocker: Biffle, one of the favorites at 5-2, stumbles and doesn’t finish in the top five. There are far better values in this loaded Superstar Racing Experience field. The 51-year-old has 19 NASCAR Cup Series wins to his name, finishing as high as second in the standings back in 2005.

However, after winning the first heat in the first race of the season at Stafford Motor Speedway, Biffle ran last in the following heat and then couldn’t best local legend Doug Coby in the feature race. This will be Biffle’s first race back in an SRX Series car since Stafford and the unfamiliar, steeply-banked asphalt oval could be a tough challenge after a month off.
