The BTC Premier League postponement of the match between Wolves and Arsenal makes a total of 3 Gunners matches that need to be adjusted to the schedule.
As expected, the clash between Arsenal and Wolves will take place less than 48 hours after the Gunners complete the match against Norwich on Gifting Day (December 26). However, because Wolves have many players who are positive for Covid-19, they have applied to BTC to cancel this match.
A noticefrom the organizers reads: “Arsenal FC’s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Emirates Stadium, which will take place at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, December 28 (19:30 Vietnam time), has been unfortunately postponed.
The Premier League organizers accepted the application for a postponement because Wolves did not have the necessary number of players for the match (13 players and one goalkeeper) due to several cases of COVID-19 and injuries at the club. . We apologize for the inconvenience and disruption caused to the fans’ festival plans.”
Not stopping there, the London derby between Chelsea and Arsenal will have to be postponed for a while due to Chelsea’s participation in the Club World Cup. Currently, there is no specific schedule for this match. The Club World Cup will take place from 3 to 12 February 2022 in the United Arab Emirates.
Finally, they also need to find another date for the home game against Liverpool (scheduled for February 26) because one of the two teams will play the Carabao Cup Final on February 27 at Wembley.
